Christopher and Gay, West Village
The quintessential Village street scene: narrow and curved. This also evokes most Hollywood movie versions of New York. Because Hollywood backlots can't easily recreate the massive avenues and skyscrapers that make up most of the island, it sometimes appears as though every New York movie that comes out of California takes place below 14th Street.
